The XPR170® plasma cutting system offers advanced process control through four distinct gas console options—Core™, CorePlus™, Vented Water Injection™ (VWI™), and OptiMix™—each tailored to specific cutting needs and material types. These consoles are fully CNC-integrated, allowing for seamless operation and high productivity.
Core™ Console … ideal for operations focusing primarily on mild steel, the Core console utilizes oxygen, nitrogen, and air gases to deliver full X-Definition® cut quality on mild steel and entry-level capabilities on stainless steel and aluminum.
CorePlus™ Console … building upon the Core console, CorePlus introduces argon gas capability, enabling superior marking on all materials and enhanced piercing performance on thicker materials through argon-assist technology.
Vented Water Injection™ (VWI™) Console … designed for users requiring improved cut quality on stainless steel and aluminum, the VWI console incorporates water-injection shielding and F5 gas (a nitrogen-hydrogen mix), offering excellent cutting outcomes and high-quality marking.
OptiMix™ Console … for the most demanding applications, the OptiMix console allows for the mixing of up to three gases—hydrogen, nitrogen, and argon—providing unparalleled cut quality on stainless steel and aluminum, especially for thicker materials.
